Create your own inline suggestions

For any relation field in Responsum (Default or custom), you are able to create a visual suggestion to add a certain item using our expression engine.

Pre-requisites to get started

  • Have a relation field for which you want to show suggestions based on data filled out in another field
  • Have access to the “In detail customization” of a sub-module to make changes to it’s configuration

Fast-track to Brilliance

  • Navigate to the sub-module for which you want to add an inline suggestion
  • Open the in detail customization
  • Select the default or custom relation field (Dropdown) you want the inline suggestion to be shown on
  • Turn on “Add suggestion” and construct an expression to return one or more values that will be suggested
    • Ex. use the attribute function to based on another relation field get a value for this relation field. (In the example above, Information management systems are selected of which the suppliers (Vendors) are suggested on a relation field towards Vendors.
  • Save the changes to the (custom) field

Step-by-step guidance

  • Navigate to the sub-module for which you want to add an inline suggestion
  • Open the in detail customization by opening any item followed by pressing the 3 dots in the top right followed by “Customize sub-module”
  • Select the default or custom relation field (Dropdown) you want the inline suggestion to be shown on
  • Turn on “Add suggestion” and construct an expression to return one or more values that will be suggested
    • Ex. use the attribute function to based on another relation field get a value for this relation field. (In the example above, Information management systems are selected of which the suppliers (Vendors) are suggested on a relation field towards Vendors.
  • Save the changes to the (custom) field
