Clear the cache for Responsum

Sometimes your browser keeps showing an old version of Responsum: a page looks broken or blank, styling is off, a new feature doesn’t appear or data seems outdated. Clearing the stored cache for the Responsum websites forces your browser to fetch everything fresh, without touching your saved data for other websites.

Pre-requisites to get started

  • Access to the browser you use for Responsum (Chrome or another Chromium browser such as Edge, Brave or Opera, or Firefox)
  • Your Responsum login details at hand: clearing site data logs you out
  • Do this for both responsum.app and responsum.cloud, as Responsum uses both addresses

Fast-track to Brilliance

  1. Open the Responsum page that is misbehaving
  2. Press Ctrl + Shift + R (Windows/Linux) or Cmd + Shift + R (Mac) to force a hard reload
  3. Still not fixed? Follow the step-by-step guidance below to remove the stored site data completely

Step-by-step guidance

Chrome (and other Chromium browsers: Edge, Brave, Opera)

  1. Open a new tab, type chrome://settings/content/all in the address bar and press Enter
(Or click the three dots (⋮) top right >> Settings >> Privacy and security >> Site settings >> View permissions and data stored across sites)
  2. In the “Search site data” field, type responsum
  3. Click the bin icon next to responsum.app and confirm with Delete
  4. Repeat step 3 for responsum.cloud
  5. Close all Responsum tabs, open Responsum again and log in

In Edge the address is edge://settings/content/all, in Brave brave://settings/content/all. The rest of the steps are identical.

Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (☰) in the top right >> Settings
  2. Select Privacy & Security in the left menu
  3. Scroll to Cookies and Site Data and click Manage Data…
  4. In the search field, type responsum
  5. Select responsum.app and click Remove Selected
  6. Repeat step 5 for responsum.cloud
  7. Click Save Changes and confirm with Remove
  8. Close all Responsum tabs, open Responsum again and log in

Good to know

  • Clearing site data removes your session, so you will be asked to log in again. Your Responsum data itself is stored on the server and is never lost.
  • Only the Responsum websites are affected. Logins and settings for all other websites stay untouched.
  • If the problem persists, try opening Responsum in a private/incognito window. If it works there, an extension may be interfering or the clear might have not gone through properly. If you still see the same behavior, contact support@responsum.eu.
