Getting Started with the Processed Data Lifecycle Module

Welcome to the Processed Data Lifecycle module in RESPONSUM! This module provides a comprehensive overview of all the data processed across your organization’s various processing activities.

Pre-requisites to Get Started

Before you begin using the Processed Data Lifecycle module, make sure you have the following in place:

  1. User Access: Confirm that you have the necessary permissions to access and modify the Processed Data Lifecycle module in RESPONSUM. If you don’t have access, contact your system administrator.
  2. Defined Processing Activities: Ensure processing activities within your organization are well-documented and entered into the register. This includes details about the data being processed, retention periods, and the legal basis for processing.

If you’re ready to start managing your data lifecycles, follow these quick steps:

  1. Access the Processed Data Lifecycle Module: Navigate to the module from the main menu in RESPONSUM Privacy > Processed Data Lifecycle.
  2. Customize Table: Tailor the table to your specific needs, allowing you to view various aspects of your data lifecycles.
  3. Quick Access: Easily edit the associated processing activity by clicking the icon at the end of the table.

For those who prefer a more detailed approach, here’s a step-by-step guide to using the Processed Data Lifecycle module:

1. Accessing the Processed Data Lifecycle Module

  • Navigate to the Module: Log in to RESPONSUM and go to Privacy > Processed Data Lifecycle from the main menu. This will take you to the central table where all your data lifecycles are listed.

2. Customizing the Table

  • Select Columns: Customize the table by choosing which columns to display.
  • Reorder and Filter: Reorder the columns and apply filters to focus on specific data lifecycles stages. This customization helps you focus on the most relevant information for your tasks.

3. Quick Access to Editing Processing Activities

  • Use Quick Access Icons: At the end of each row in the table, you’ll find an icon that allows you to quickly navigate to the associated processing activity.
  • Edit Details: Click the icon to open the processing activity details. From here, you can update information such as data categories, retention periods, or legal bases for processing.
  • Save Changes: After making any necessary changes, ensure you click ‘Save’ to update the record in the system.
